Welcome to St. Lawrence Catholic School!
Because of God’s grace and abundant blessings we are about to start the School Year. St. Lawrence Catholic School takes great pride, in doing our best, to provide a quality education, based on Catholic spirituality and high academic standards. In order to achieve these results, we depend on everyone’s cooperation: priests, faculty, parents and students. The St. Lawrence Parish campus provides a secure and safe environment for everyone. We meet all safety and health requirements.
St. Lawrence Catholic School has an excellent reputation for its outstanding Athletics Program. Boys and girls can choose to participate in a wide variety of sports. Our Athletic Director, Mr. Matthew Mangold, his coaches and staff are very dedicated to all of our athletes. Athletic competition builds healthy bodies and instills teamwork and good sportsmanship.
The entire school attends Mass on Wednesday mornings throughout the school year. As Catholics, the Mass is our “highest prayer”. Hearing God’s Word and receiving the Holy Eucharist provide power and strength for mind, body and soul. St. Lawrence School children also participate in many spiritual and faith-centered activities as part of their daily routine.
In addition to our emphasis on a solid Catholic environment, high academic and athletic standards, St. Lawrence School children are nurtured in a positive, friendly and happy atmosphere. We want the children of St. Lawrence School to look forward to coming to school every day. Pope Francis encourages us to be “Happy Christians”!
As we embark on the new academic year, I encourage everyone to be optimistic and set your standards high! Know that “with God all things are possible”. Be proud of your faith. Share your faith. Live your faith. Be kind and merciful.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will come upon us and give us gifts of understanding, cooperation and patience so our children will continue to be taken care of and educated in an environment which lives in peace and unity. This is a huge task which entails the respect and consideration of many opinions. We are also governed by the rules and authority of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
May the love of Jesus reign in our hearts as we share that love with one another. Love the Blessed Virgin Mary and pray to her to protect you.
Sincerely in Christ,
Pastor, St. Lawrence Catholic Parish
Father Roman Pasieczny
